
In a significant development for the state of Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu met with Defense Minister Raj Nath Singh in New Delhi today to discuss various issues concerning the state. The primary focus of the discussion was on strengthening the road network in the border areas of the state, which the Chief Minister emphasized was crucial for the development and security of the nation.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Sukhu requested the Defense Minister to expedite the construction of roads under the Border Roads Organization (BRO). He highlighted the fact that better road connectivity in border areas would not only enhance the security of the nation but also benefit various sectors such as agriculture, horticulture, tourism, healthcare, and more.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister discussed other important issues concerning the state and requested the support and cooperation of the central government. Rural Development Minister Anirudh Singh, OSD to CM at Delhi Kuldeep Singh Banshtu, and Resident Commissioner Meera Mohanty accompanied the Chief Minister during the meeting.
The Defense Minister, in turn, assured the Chief Minister of all possible assistance from the central government to address the issues raised by him. The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude towards the Defense Minister for his support and cooperation.
