Acer has recently added two new laptops to its TravelMate P2 series – 14-inch Travelmate P214-41-G2 and 15.6-inch Acer Travelmate P215-41-G2 – powered by AMD’s latest Ryzen PRO processors, which have additional security and remote management feature make them ideal for businesses. Initially, both laptops will be available with Windows 10 Pro but will support the update to Windows 11 later this year.
Specs of Acer TravelMate P214-41-G2 and P215-41-G2
The 14-inch model, Acer TravelMate P214-41-G2 comes with an AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U processor with 6 cores and 12 threads whereas the 15-inch version, P215-41-G2 comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 5850U, an 8-core, 16-thread CPU.
Both new laptops of the Acer Travelmate P2 series have 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage. Coming to the ports, there are three USB Type-A ports, one USB Type-C, HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, a full-size SD card reader, and a 3.5 mm jack. As the name suggests both laptops feature “all-day battery life,” spill-resistant keyboards, and MIL-STD-810G U.S. military-grade impact resistance.
The displays are quite similar across the two laptops of the Travelmate P2 series and have full HD IPS panels with a 170-degree field of view and narrow bezels on the sides and the top bezel accommodates a 720p camera along with an IR camera for Windows Hello, plus two microphones for voice calls. The webcam has a physical shutter, and there’s also an optional fingerprint reader.
Availability and Price
The 15-inch Acer TravelMate P2 is available to purchase and is priced at $749.99 with a Ryzen 5 processor with an upgrade to the Ryzen 7 model for $849.99. The 14-inch Acer TravelMate P2 will be available in early January 2022.
