The launch of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series is highly anticipated, mostly after the reveal of the new ‘One UI Watch’ interface for Wear OS, and now reports are claiming that this new watch series will feature a brand new chip – 5nm Exynos W920 – which will apparently be coupled with 16GB of internal storage and 1.5GB of RAM.

As reported by Sammobile, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series – Galaxy Watch 4 priced at $250 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic priced at $370 – will feature a whopping 16GB of internal storage which is four times what was available on the original Galaxy Watch and twice that of modern Wear OS smartwatches and last year’s Galaxy Watch 3. Particularly, this is still considerably less than what’s Apple Watch Series 6 model offers i.e. 32GB of internal storage and has only 1GB of RAM.

It is also assumed that Samsung is offering a more powerful processor and larger storage on the Galaxy Watch 4 series because of the new One UI Watch, which the company has developed with Google as a customized version of the Wear OS. The main feature of One UI Watch is that it will let the Watch4 automatically download a smartwatch version of the app that is installed by the user on phone.

Hence, the 8 GB space that was made available on predecessor models will not be enough on the Watch 4 lineup. Whereas the Exynos W920 chip – which is expected to offer 1.25x faster processing and 8.8x smoother graphics performance than the Exynos 9110 – coupled with 1.5 GB of RAM will provide all the power that is needed to run such apps that users will get from the Play Store.

You can take look at leaked renders of both Galaxy Watch 4 and Classic and other upcoming Samsung products in this Twitter thread from notable leaker Evleaks. And also let us know your opinion on this upcoming ‘Galaxy Watch 4’ features in the comment section and stay tuned for more updates.
