With Far Cry 6 approaching, Ubisoft has announced that the last mainline entry in the series, Far Cry 5 can be download and played for free starting from August 5-9 across all platforms – PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, and Stadia.
Far Cry 5 was initially released in 2018, as a first-person shooter game, Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Toronto are the developers. This game is in Hope country, Montana.
In a press release on their website, Ubisoft announced that the open-world first-shooter “Far Cry 5” will be free for a weekend starting from August 5 to August 9. The players will be able to play it in both contexts single-player as well as in co-op and it will be available across all platforms ranging from Playstation4,5, Xbox one, Xbox series X/S, PC through the Epic Game Store and Ubisoft Store.
Along with this free play weekend, the full game and its season pass are offering a discount too The breakdown of pricing during this sale is as follow:
- For the players of PS4 and PS5: there will be an 80% discount for the std. Edition and the gold edition off will follow 75% and at last off for season pass will be 50%.
- For the players of Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S: 85% off for std. Edition, 80% off for the Gold edition and 50% for the season pass.
- For PC players through Epic Game Store: 80% discount for both std. , Gold edition whereas 50% discount for the Season Pass.
- For PC players through Ubisoft Store and Steam:85% discount for the Standard edition, 80% discount for the Gold edition and about 70% off for the Season Pass.
Far Cry 6 is approaching fast and is launching on October 7 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC. Until then players can enjoy this free weekend playing the fifth main installment in the Far Cry Series.
