Update: After officially announcing the in-game Warzone event titled the Battle of Verdansk for Vanguard reveal, the Call of Duty Twitter account later confirmed that participants will be rewarded with in-game gear including new weapon and knife blueprints, a bike skin, a timepiece and can also earn double XP, double weapon XP, and double battle pass XP in the hour leading up to the event.
Original Article: After plenty of leaks and teases, Activision has now officially announced ‘Call of Duty: Vanguard’, the next title in the extremely popular series with a short teaser video. However, the video doesn’t reveal a lot and consists of the footage of four different locales that each feature a mysterious face and it looks like the game will take place during World War II, likely on the four fronts of the war.
In a post on the official ‘Call of Duty’ Twitter handle, Activision announced ‘Call of Duty: Vanguard’ with the same short teaser trailer along with details about its Worldwide revelation on August 19, which won’t be available on Twitch or YouTube. As the game is set to be revealed on Thursday at 10.30 am PT / 1.30 pm ET via an in-game Warzone event.
Additionally, ‘Call of Duty: Warzone’ will also get an update, reportedly for a new, massive map based on the Pacific theater of the war. ‘Call of Duty: Vanguard,’ which will take set on the western front of World War II’s European theater, and will feature a campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies modes, is being developed by Sledgehammer Games, which headed up Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Call of Duty: WWII.
According to reports, Vanguard’s alpha test is currently scheduled for August 27-29, ahead of a PlayStation beta from September 10-12, and beta on all platforms from September 16-20,
