HP Spectre x360 14 launched, with Intel’s ‘Tiger Lake’ CPU

HP has just announced a bunch of new Intel Evo-certified laptops today, including a new Spectre x360 14 convertible, with a 3:2 aspect ratio display, a Thunderbolt 4 port located in one of its diamond-shaped corners, and much much more. Also, it’s the first in the Spectre x360 series to feature what the company calls its “all-in-one keyboard”. So without wasting any time, let’s take a look at its mouthwatering specs.

Specs of HP Spectre x360 14

The new three-pound HP Spectre x360 14 is the first Spectre to include a 3:2 aspect ratio display with 20 percent more viewing space than the 16:9 ratio we’ve had before. And there’s an OLED version of the 13.5-inch 3000 x 2000-pixel screen, too, for which you have to pay extra cash. As we said before it also features an “all-in-one keyboard” that includes a power, a new web-camera shutter, an HP Command Center, and a mute mic button, along with a fingerprint reader. This new laptop comes in three colors i.e. a Nightfall Black with Copper Luxe accents, a Poseidon Blue with Pale Brass accents, and a Natural Silver.

Aside from this Spectre x360 14 is Evo-certified which means it is equipped with Intel’s latest 11th Gen “Tiger Lake” processors(a quad-core 28W Intel Core i7-1165G7), with Intel’s Iris Xe integrated graphics. Along with this, being an Evo-certified this device uses a 9-hour minimum battery life on an FHD screen and has the ability to wake from sleep in less than one second, along with the ability to recharge the battery to at least 4hours worth of power in 30 minutes. And according to HP this new laptop is 34% faster than last yeat’s Spectre x360 13. Other notable features include WiFi 6 support, pen support and up to 17 hours of battery life but only 10 hours when on i7.

Spectre x360 14 HP’s “most intelligent PC ever”

On the software side, HP claims that the new laptop is its “most intelligent PC ever.” According to HP the new Spectre can detect when it’s in a bag, and uses Intel’s Dynamic Tuning to avoid the draining or overheating of its battery. The new Spectre also includes AI Noise Removal, which helps in eliminating the background noise from communication apps like Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Zoom.

There’s an Auto Color feature too that can automatically switch the screen’s color space between DCI-P3, Adobe RGB, and sRGB to make sure that you’re looking at the most accurate colors. It also comes with a Focus Mode that dims background apps not in use for productivity purposes. In terms of memory, the Spectre x360 14 has 16GB of RAM and 1TB M.2 SSD. The laptop is expected to come out later this October on HP.com with a starting price of $1,199.99 (though obviously not with an i7 and OLED screen).

Other newly refreshed and Evo-certified devices from HP

In addition to new Spectre Cousin, HP has also refreshed it’s other laptops and has given them the Evo-treatment too. HP’s Spectre x360 13, ENVY x360 13 and ENVY 13 are now powered by 11th-gen Intel Core processors and had gotten the Evo-certification. The updated Spectre x360 13 has an Intel i5-1135G7 CPU (with Iris Xe graphics), with 8GB of RAM and a 512GB M.2 SSD. And will start at $1,199 in later this Oct. as well as it has a 5G variant which is launching sometime early next year.

Now the both refreshed HP Envy x360 13 convertible and the HP Envy 13 laptop uses an Intel i7-1165G7 CPUs, with 8GB of RAM and a 1920 x 1080 IPS touchscreen. In terms of storage, the convertible has a 512GB SSD while the laptop has a 256GB SSD. The Envy x360 13 will start at $949.99 in November and the Envy 13 at $899.99 in October.
