
Since the release of the God of War sequel teaser, fans are eagerly waiting for it to play. Sad news for fans, that God of War Sequel is not going to release this year and will be the cross-gen title, the developer of the game Sony Santa Monica has announced on their Twitter account. The God of War has been foreseeing to be one of the best PS5 games.
God of War Sequel
God of War sequel, will be an action-adventure game that is under the development of Sony Santa Monica. This game would be played on PS4 and PS5 (cross-gen), and it is following the story of the 2018 God of War. This sequel was revealed by Sony in 2020 with the tagline “Ragnarok is coming,” and hence people titled it God of War: Ragnarok, which is not the official title of this sequel just yet.
The head of PlayStation Worldwide Studios, Hermen Hulst given an interview in which he talked about the release of Horizon Forbidden West and the God of War. Horizon Forbidden West is on the path of releasing this holiday season but they’re no confirmed date to release and the God of War sequel release is delayed to 2022.
Both games are very big and long to narrate for development. So, it is taking time to develop as the developers want to give a better performance which everyone wants to play. Hermen Hulst did not directly say that there would be a delay in the release of God of War. But Sony Santa Monica announced the delay of the God of War sequel through their Twitter account. And stating that they want to give a top-quality game to their fans who are waiting eagerly for it.
Hermen Hulst also revealed that the God of War sequel and Gran Turismo 7 coming to PS4 with PS5 on their blogpost. Now, the PS4 users can also play this game and if they want to play it in the PS5 version then they can play it. He added, “To showpiece, the PS5, the development of Returnal and Ratchet will be exclusive.”
The delay of the God of War sequel stating that when it going to be released in 2022 then it will be providing a top-quality game. To get better performance we have to wait as developers are doing their best to provide a good game. Until then more games are releasing earlier like Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7, etc.
