The upcoming Reliance Jio’s phone “JioPhone Next” made in partnership with Google, is currently set to release on September 10th. But during its unveiling in June 2021 at Annual General Meeting (AGM), the company only disclosed its design, leaving the hardware a complete mystery.
Luckily, as reported by Android Authority, XDA’s Mishaal Rahman has now unveiled some specs of this upcoming ultra-affordable smartphone by a tweet.
JioPhone Next Rumored Specs
Rahman claims that this ultra-affordable smartphone (between Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 5,000) – JioPhone Next – will feature an HD display (1440×720 resolutio) powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 chipset and will use ARM’s Cortex A53 cores with clock speeds up to 1.3GHz. Talking about the optics it is expected to have a 13MP back camera with 8MP selfie snapper.
Rahman also mentioned that the smartphone will run on Android 11 (Go Edition) out of the box. And as Android Authority notes, this version targets smartphones with up to 2GB RAM and promises features like “one-time privacy permissions, better notification management, and a 20% faster app launch than that of the previous version.”
Further, the report claims that it will have the new version of Google’s Camera Go and Google Duo Go apps pre-installed.
