Announcement Date Fixed
LG has come up with the first public announcement of its new product. According to the rumours, it is the “Wing” handset, which is a device with two screens with a rotating form factor. A teaser video was posted by LG on YouTube which hints towards sliding mechanism and this video serves as the invitation to an announcement event scheduled on 14th September.

LG in its press release said that the upcoming new device will be part of an initiative and product category, which they call Explorer Project. This project category aims to deliver much-needed curiosity and excitement to the public sector. LG promises that it will focus solely on new usability that is discovered with innovative designs to increase the public domain imaginations that what can be next. The recently released LG Velvet 5G Smartphone will be the part of the universal line, which is in common needs.
About The New Phone
But according to the words in the market, the “Wing” is supposed to have two screens, where one screen is behind the other which can be rotated 90 degrees horizontally. The shape of the “Wing” as per the leaks and the teaser is somewhat like T, hence T-shaped dual-screen device. Many readers may be wondering what can be possible uses of a T-shaped dual-screen device, possible causes could be watching a widescreen video in what would feel like one-handed portrait orientation. While on other hand as per the recent footages of the “Wing”, it allows full-screen driving navigation with music controls off to the side.
LG Wants to Enter Market
LG has made it clear for themselves that they are willing to get weird in an attempt to differentiate itself in the crowded mobile market. But the real look of the phone would be available only on 14th September 10 AM ET, till then stay tuned.
