MSI has recently introduced the Optix MEG381CQR Plus with Human-computer interaction (HMI) dial, making it the “World’s First HMI Gaming Monitor,” which will make it easier for gamers to use many useful features like adjust volume, music switch, and more while gaming.
MSI Optix MEG381CQR Plus has a 38-inch curved IPS display with a 3840 x 1600 resolution and its display covers 96.2% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and 128.7% of the sRGB spectrum. The monitor sports a 10-bit color depth, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and a brightness level of up to 600 nits with DisplayHDR 600 certification.
The gaming monitor pairs a secondary display with a gaming dial at the bottom which helps in the easy adjustment of monitor settings just by twisting the dial.
MSI has designed Optix MEG381CQR Plus mainly for gamers, as it features plenty of gamers or streaming-specific features and also has a 175MHz refresh rate with 1ms response time which is Nvidia G-Sync Ultimate certified. The DisplayHDR certification will be useful for games that support HDR and the Auto-HDR feature in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
MSI Optix MEG381CQR Plus also comes with a handy camera cradle on top of the monitor to mount your webcam, DSLR, or smartphone for streaming and a handy mouse bungee to help keep the mouse cord out of the way while gaming. MSI has added SteelSeries’ Game Sense + Mystic light to synchronize the RGB lighting with currently playing games on the monitor.
The monitor supports VESA mounts, includes two HDMI 2.0 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4, and sports a USB hub with three USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports, a USB-B 3.2 Gen1 port, a microphone in, and audio out jacks to complete the I/O lineup.
Presently, there’s no information about its pricing or even a general release date.
