Samsung is expected to introduce the Galaxy Watch 4 and Active variant on June 28th and ship these watches in August, around the same time as the foldable devices, and we’ve already heard a lot about the smartwatches. Today, we get our first official look at the forthcoming smartwatch and how it appears, and I have to say, I’m impressed.
91Mobiles is the source of the leak, and they’ve published the official media photos of the smartwatch we’ve all been waiting for. These renders show the gadget from every angle, as well as the various colour options for the watch.
Renders of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4
Before we get into the details of the watch, we should point out that the Active variant that leaked a few days ago was actually the Galaxy Watch 4 all along, and here is the real deal.
The Galaxy Watch 4 now looks a lot like the Active 2, and if that’s the case, we might not receive a Galaxy Watch Active 4 at all. But, rather than believing the rumours right now, we’ll have to wait for the actual announcement.
The Galaxy Watch 4 will be available in two sizes: 40mm and 44mm. There’s also a 5-meter water resistance certification, MIL-STD 810G toughness, GPS, Gorilla Glass, and DX+ protection. The Galaxy Watch 4 will be available in a variety of colours, including black, silver, dark green, and rose gold. On the smartwatch’s edge, there are two buttons.
In terms of software, the wristwatch is said to run Google’s Wear OS, and we already know that Samsung and Google are working together to produce the new Wear OS. A recent rumour claims that the Galaxy Watch 4 will include a BIA sensor, but we can’t confirm this because it wasn’t included in any of the photographs shared.
I’m really looking forward to seeing what Samsung has in store for us. Let us know what you think in the comments section.
