In 2019, Google suspended the license of Huwaei to use Google Apps services (like Gmail, Youtube, Google PlayStore, GoogleMaps, etc). And as Huwaei is the parent company of Honor then the license was also suspended from Honor’s smartphones. Earlier, this year Honor, separated from its ex-parent company, and since then the company is on its own. Honor is trying to cover all loss that is affected due to the US sanctions as they are no longer part of Huwaei.
And as Honor is no longer a part of Huwaei, the company has announced that its upcoming Honor 50 series will have pre-installed Google Apps. The company confirmed the news by its German Twitter account, (thanks GizmoChina) in response to some users asking for Google apps in the upcoming series. Later this tweet was deleted and there is also mentioned that there are a lot more surprises coming.
Since Google revoked the license from Huwaei and Honor they faced a downfall. There are some smartphones (Honor 10X Max, Honor 9S, Honor 10X Lite) of Honor without Google apps services. But now Honor 50 series will come with Google Apps services plus its MagicUI and top of it with exclusive features. Honor confirmed that the upcoming Honor 50 series will have a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset (reports XDA-Developers).
There was a rumor that Honor’s upcoming smartphone series will have 3 phones featuring an AMOLED 120Hz display, triple rear cameras, and dual selfie cameras.
From this step of Honor, it is expected that they are ready to take back their territories in the global smartphone market. Soon there will be more information about the upcoming series of Honor with pre-installed Google Apps. With this, they can compete with other companies such as OnlePlus, Google, Samsung, etc.
