Intel after giving 11th gen Tiger Lake H-series this month they now again come with 11th gen U-series processors at Computex 2021, which can take up the processor to the 5.0GHz clock speed with low voltage. Intel added two new processors that are Core i7-1195G7 and Core i5-1155G7 for light-and-thin laptops and Intel is claiming that these processors’ performance is 25% more than its competition AMD’s Ryzen 7 5800U. Let us know more about it!

Both Intel’s 11th gen U-series processors – Core i7-1195G7 and Core i5-1155G7 – operate in the 12W to 28W range and have a 4 core/8 thread configuration. In addition, these chips will offer Intel’s Xe Integrated graphics.

Core i7-1195G7 featuring a 5.0GHz clock speed at a base frequency 2.9GHz in a single-core speed using Intel’s Turbo Boost Max 3.0 technology and all-core turbo is 4.6GHz. It has Iris Xe 96 EU (execution units), 12MB cache, and supports DDR4-3200 and LPDDR4x-4266 memory.

Core i5-1155G7 is not giving clock speed up to 5.0GHz but close to it is 4.5GHz at a base frequency of 2.5GHz in a single-core Turbo and all-core turbo is 4.3GHz. It has Iris Xe 80 EU, 8MB cache, and supports the same memory as Core i7.

Intel will be coming with 60 more designs for these 11th gen U-series chips should be made available by this holiday season.

5G Modem Solution

Along with processors Intel also announced its 5G Modem solution as performance and connectivity are important for people. A new M.2 Card will be integrated into their designs called the 5G Solution 5000. This modem will offer 5x the speed of Gigabit LTE connection. For this modem, Intel collaborated with MediaTek and FiboCom which provides the modem firmware and modem itself and offering sub-6GHz 5G and eSIM technology.

Through these advancements, people can do transcoding 8x faster and with double speed, they can do video editing with AI acceleration as compared to AMD’s processor. These chips will be integrating by Acer, Asus, and HP laptops by the end of this year. Stay tuned with us to get more interesting things!
