Gigabyte has quietly introduced the AORUS Gaming Box 2021, which is equipped with Nvidia’s newly released GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 12GB graphics card. In fact, the model in question is a WATERFORCE model that is cooled by water. The AORUS Gaming Box is an external GPU solution for individuals who are unfamiliar.
The box is 300 mm long, 140 mm wide, and 173 mm tall. The offered Thunderbolt 3 Type-C port can be used to connect it. Power Delivery (PD) 3.0 is supported, allowing the laptop or other devices to be charged.
The 3080 Ti inside runs at 1665MHz and is water-cooled. It includes two HDMI connections and three DisplayPorts for visual output. A 240mm black aluminium radiator with dual 120mm fans cools the WATERFORCE 3080 Ti. The GPU’s core and its surroundings are completely covered by a massive copper base plate.
The AORUS Rtx 3080 Ti Gaming Box is equipped with an 80+ gold-rated 550W power supply unit that promises to have >90% efficiency while delivering the necessary power via two 8-pin power connectors to run the RTX 3080 Ti and everything else inside it.
The Gaming Box contains an Ethernet connector for connectivity, albeit the bandwidth is not indicated. Three USB 3.0 connections are also available. A gaming product, of course, must have RGB, and the AORUS Gaming Box is no exception. The company’s RGB Fusion 2.0 software can regulate and synchronize the RGB lighting.
