Since revealing that certain elements previously seen in trailers have been cut from the final version, CD Projekt Red has told fans that they should not worry about the amount of content in Cyberpunk 2077. As the launch of the game approaches, reports about the action RPG has been more regular in recent weeks. Not all of the headlines were positive either, with the developer found to be forcing workers to crunch in the game’s final production stretch after previously committing to end mandatory overtime.
CD Projekt Red has recently presented fans with an in-depth look at the fleet of vehicles that players will be able to use. This will include a number of motorcycles from Keanu Reeves’ own company Arch Motorcycle. As inspiration, the artist used real-life bikes but modernized their look to match the Cyberpunk 2077 theme. That’s in addition to the movie star in the tale of the game playing a high-profile role.
A Cyberpunk 2077 developer has told players that there is no need to think about the amount of content in the game after fans expressed concerns about removing some features. According to Pure PlayStation, a designer named Miles Tost has stated on the Discord server of the studio-under the name MilezZx-that any material that was previously shown in 2018 is no longer in the final game. This came as fans debated what was cut from Cyberpunk 2077 ahead of its November releases. MilezZx clarified that: “Of course we iterate and change stuff and of course we also will have ideas that sound great on paper but then doesn’t end up working out well in the game with all the other features.” But the developer proceeded to say that fans shouldn’t “worry about the amount of content on our game.”
It appeared last week that Dr Disrepsect, a popular streamer, may have some kind of partnership with Cybperunk 2077. After being mysteriously removed from Twitch in June, the controversial figure had plenty of focus in 2020. Dr Disrepect teased his involvement with the game in a tweet from the title’s official Twitter account and showed off a new 30-second teaser. However, with CD Projekt Red, it is still not clear exactly what role the streamer would have.
During growth, it’s common for a game to change drastically. As development continues to move forward, almost every new release will see large amounts of content removed. It’s just a regular part of a game’s development process and is hardly something that can bother fans about. After all, CD Projekt Red’s previous The Witcher 3 had hundreds of hours of missions, side quests, and exploration, and there is no reason to doubt that Cyberpunk 2077 would be any different.
