Intel Core i9-11900K runs at 5.3GHz, beats Zen 3 in Single Thread Performance

Intel Core i9-11900K Benchmarks

So the companies like Intel are putting their 100% as seen in the latest benchmarks of Geekbench 5 and PassMark spotted Intel’s Rocket Lake Core i9-11900K running full blast at 5.3Ghz (single-core) by APISAK, hardware detective. Surprisingly, all of AMD’s Zen 3 parts were beaten by the chip in single-threaded tests. This was expected as it was seen in the CES 2021 where Intel’s i9-11900K beat Ryzen 5900X by 5% in single-threaded workloads which have changed the tables for CPU Benchmark hierarchy.

PassMark Scores

This can be seen that the i9-11900K scored 3764 points. On the other hand, the higher-clocked Ryzen 9 5900X and 5950X scored lower than the Ryzen 7 5800X is an interesting sight to look at. 

The team blue is on the better side as 11900K is 6% faster than tea red’s 5800X and comparatively lesser than the 11700K processor.

Going ahead with the Geekbench 5 results, it can be spotted that 11900K leads its way against AMD’s 5950X by 12%. While Rocket Lake’s higher frequency and backported cores are not advantageous in the multi-core race for 11900K which could be overthrown by the 5900X and 5950X. But the 8-core models of 11900K are 4% faster than AMD’s 5800X.

Conclusion:

It may be seen that the Core i9-11900K performance is better in the single-threaded race but the multi-threaded performance gets hard for the processor. So the benchmarks are highly spectacular, we need to have the real-life processor in hand to fully understand its performance. Intel would have to be smart to decide the pricing of the 11900K to give competition to AMD’s Ryzen 9 parts.
