AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT, released just a few weeks back, is reportedly about to become a very popular crypto mining graphics card in the crypto community. That’s according to Trollaytopoulous, a Reddit user who claims that RX 6600 XT, the latest graphic card by AMD is the best in crypto mining performance than any other graphic card to date (via Wccftech).
For the most important part, an increase in its popularity in the crypto community can be a big problem for gamers who are thinking to get their hands on one of these graphics cards.
Radeon RX 6600 XT with GDDR6 memory offers a hash rate of up to 32MH/s. But by looking at the hash rate it does not seem to be anything special in it. Radeon RX 580 also provides somewhat similar mining performance. But the major difference is that they may pull power over 130W.
On the other side, RX 6600 XT consumes 55W for a 32MH/s hash rate, which makes it quite impressive. Also, RTX 3090 offers a 114MH/s hash rate from 320W and is 3.5 times faster than RX 6600 XT. But they consume six times more energy for 114MH/s which is equal to six RX 6600 XTs that provide the combined hash rate of 192MH/s.
So, a more powerful GPU needs more power consumption, and electricity costs are critical variables in evaluating the cost-effectiveness of crypto mining. Due to the 128-bit bus interface on RX 6600 XT graphic card its mining performance per watt is impressive. While other graphics cards in the list have 192-bit bus interfaces.
Radeon RX 6600 XT based on such mining performance is much more cost-effective than the other graphics cards in the markets. It has a performance rating of 0.581 and is priced at $379. However, this crypto mining performance chart is from the online source krytex.org. We can’t say for sure that RX 6600 XT is a new crypto mining king until there is no authentic confirmation.
If these predictions will come true then it is difficult to find this graphic card in the market as several retailers have an eye on it.
