Cyberpunk 2077 has finally returned to Sony’s PlayStation Store with a big warning for PS4 owners. “Users may continue to experience some performance issues with the PS4 edition while we continue to improve stability across all platforms,” admits CD Projekt Red in a tweet (embed below). “The PS4 Pro and PS5 versions of the game will provide the best experience on PlayStation.”
However, Sony’s listing for Cyberpunk 2077 also has a similar warning which says, “Purchase for use on PS4 systems is not recommended. For the best Cyberpunk experience on PlayStation, play on PS4 Pro and PS5 systems.”
Original Article (Cyberpunk 2077 returning to Playstation Store on June 21): In a statement released on Tuesday (June 15), CD Projekt Red has confirmed that its sci-fi adventure Cyberpunk 2077 will be returning to Sony’s PlayStation Store on June 21, 2021. After Sony pulled the game from its PSN store on December 17, 2020, due to Cyberpunk’s buggy launch and complaints from players about the game’s performance.
Since then CD Projekt Red was working with Sony to bring back the game to PlayStation Store and finally it looks it both companies have solved the long running beef. Cyberpunk 2077’s return could also be the result of frequently released hotfixes and major patches by its developer CDPR.
As these hotfixes and updates have targeted hundreds of bugs and improved performance of last-gen console versions of the game.
This confirmation comes after IGN earlier spotted, Cyberpunk 2077 was showing up in the PlayStation Store with a “Just Announced” tag, while typing “Cyberpunk” in the store’s search bar. However at that time it was only available to add to users wishlists, and not to buy.
