In April this year, Electronic Arts revealed that it is working on a standalone Battlefield Mobile version and plans to release it in 2022. And this week, the company has revealed some details about the Beta version of the game, which is currently in development phase under Industrial Toys, along with EA’s Dice studio.
In its latest update, EA annoucned that its hasstarted Beta testing Battlefield Mobile with a series of small playtests, involving Android players from Indonesia and the Philippines in the beginning. The game is expected to be added to various regions after the expansion of the Beta testing.
We’ll be steadily rolling out Battlefield Mobile starting with a series of smaller play tests in Indonesia and the Philippines.
The first of these begins Autumn 2021, and will only be available on Android devices. As we continue with testing, we’ll expand the size of these tests, add new regions.
The early beta test will include a single map, Grand Bazaar, and solo conquest game mode, with more content to be added to the game after it launches.
Regarding the accessibility of the game EA says, people living in the region where Beta is offered can pre-register for access through the Google Play Store. Beta Android test will be through an invite-only and will consider a first-come, first-serve basis.
The game will be following a free-to-play model with in-game purchases for cosmetic items and Battlefield passes. The game requires an internet connection with devices running at least Android 7. EA will also make sure that the game is optimized well to run smoothly on several devices.
There will be a limited number of slots for those want to Beta trial the upcoming Battlefield Mobile. In simple words, you won’t necessarily be able to access it if pre-registered. So, be fast and get registered as soon as possible.
