At Tech World 2021, Lenovo unveiled a lot of new products including new and first Windows 11 laptops like the Yoga Slim 7 Carbon (the world’s lightest 14-inch OLED laptop), 16-inch ultra-slim Yoga Slim 7 Pro; IdeaPad Duet 5 Chromebook; two P-Series tablets – Tab P12 Pro and Tab P11 5G.

So without wasting any time let’s talk about their specs one by one.

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Carbon

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Carbon (called IdeaPad Slim 7 Carbon in North America) is the world’s lightest 14-inch OLED laptop, undoubtedly, as it only weighs 2.37 pounds. The recent competitor for the lightest laptop was the ASUS ZenBook 14X OLED that weighed 3.07 pounds, but this laptop is way lighter than the ZenBook.

Under the hood, it features up to 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 5800U Series Mobile Processors with AMD Radeon Graphics, with an option for NVIDIA GeForce MX450 graphics, along with up to 16GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 1TB PCIe M.2 SSD of internal storage.

Slim 7 Carbon has an OLED panel (16:10 aspect ratio), optimized on four sides by narrow bezels, mounted on a stunning 14-inch QHD+ display with Dolby Vision, and a VESA DisplayHD TrueBlack 500 certification. The display provides a 90Hz refresh rate at 400 nits nominal brightness or up to 600 nits at peak brightness and even has TÜV Eye Comfort certified for better eye health via its low blue light.

Though the OLED harms the battery, Lenovo assures a battery life of 14.5 hours and claims that charging it for 15 minutes can give you up to 3 hours of battery life. For connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, Alexa Built-in.

The 14-inch Yoga Slim 7 Carbon will start at $1,289.99 and is expected to be available in October 2021 with Windows 11. The glass display is default and one can opt for a touch screen that’s strengthened with Corning Gorilla Glass.

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro

The Yoga Slim 7 Pro (called IdeaPad Slim 7 Pro in North America) has a 16-inch QHD In-Plane Switching (IPS) touch screen with 16:10 layout for multi-tasking, Dolby Vision, VESA Certified DisplayHDR 400, TÜV Eye Comfort certified and provides up to a max brightness of 500 nits via the up to 120Hz refresh rate configuration.

Under the hood, it is powered by up to AMD Ryzen 7 5800H Mobile Processors with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU (80W TDP) coupled with up to 16GB dual-channel DDR4 RAM and up to 1TB of storage PCIe M.2 SSD.

The laptop is 17.4mm, the thinnest, and weighs 4.6 pounds. The touchpad is also 11% larger than the previous gen. For connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, Alexa Built-in.

The 16-inch Yoga Slim 7 Pro will start at $1,449 and is expected to be available in October 2021 with two color options – Cloud Grey and Storm Grey color and Windows 11.

Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 5 Chromebook

Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 5 Chromebook 2-in-1 detachable runs on the Chrome OS ecosystem and features a 13.3-inch OLED display which emits 70 percent less blue light to help drastically reduce eye strain than current LCD panels and comes certified as an Eyesafe Display from TÜV Rheinland and an Eye Care Display from SGM.
