LG has launched the Velvet at the LG Wing launch event in India. LG Velvet is the company’s premium mid-ranger with a bold new design. The price of LG Velvet in India is fixed at Rs 36,990. An LG Velvet Dual Screen combo priced at Rs 49,990 is also available. From 30 October, the mobile will be available across online and offline platforms.

Compared to the 5G models introduced in select foreign markets, LG Velvet launched in India has a significantly different spec-sheet. The Velvet, launched in India, is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC instead of the Snapdragon 765 G processor of the international version. This unit is combined with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal memory.

A 6.8-inch OLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a raindrop notch with an in-display fingerprint reader is also provided by LG Wing. The mobile has a 20.5:9 aspect ratio. It also supports the LG dual-screen accessory and styluses.

For optics, LG Velvet has a triple-camera system with a 48MP main sensor. The main sensor is combined with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a with 5MP depth sensor. A 16MP selfie shooter is located in the waterdrop notch on the front of the handset. To capture excellent audio while capturing video, the phone also has a new function called ASMR recording.

A sizeable 4,300 mAh battery capacity is provided by LG Velvet for both wired and wireless charging support. With LG custom skin on top, it runs on Android 10. The LG Velvet comes with NFC support, UFS 2.1 storage, and an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. A 3.5 mm headphone jack is also offered for the smartphone.
