After Robert Downey Jr., a.k.a. Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man teased OnePlus 8T back on Sept.8, OnePlus is now set to announce its next flagship phone, the OnePlus 8T, on October 14th at an online event taking place at 10 AM ET. The company promises that the new phone will include “a range of new and improved technologies which will elevate the OnePlus experience to new heights.”
Considering the past of OnePlus company, they typically feature modest improvements in similarly designed phones. As they did with the OnePlus 7T last year, by featuring a higher 90Hz refresh rate compared to the OnePlus 7 and added a third camera to it.
Possible Specs and additional details of OnePlus 8T
As we reported previously that the phone will have a 120Hz refresh rate compared to the 90Hz display on the OnePlus 8. The phone’s battery will reportedly be a little bigger at 4,500mAh if compared to the last version (i.e. OnePLus 8) and have a maximum of 65W rather than 30W. Adding to this, Leaked renders of OnePlus 8T published by PriceBaba in collab with leaker OnLeaks – show a different rear camera layout featuring four rear sensors compared to the OnePlus 8.
The OnePlus 8T is also rumored to come with OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11. The phone is also said to have the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC, with up to 12GB of RAM. Further, the new OnePlus could offer up to 25GB of onboard storage option.
You will be able to watch the OnePlus 8T launch event over the OnePlus official site. Also after the company has launched a new mid-range device called the OnePlus Nord in Europe and India, there are reports that there could be another Nord device on the way and plus one another device which code named as OnePlus Clover. If these devices actually exist, the OnePlus 8T might not be the only device the company announces in October.
