After revealing that there won’t be ‘T’ variants of its flagship OnePlus 9 series this year, OnePlus has now launched OnePlus 9RT, which offers premium features like a more powerful Snapdragon 888 chip, a slightly updated design, and a better triple array camera at an affordable price.
Now along with the OnePlus 9RT, the company has also released new affordable OnePLus Buds Z2 TWS earbuds with some improvements to the original and last years Buds Z.
Talking about the more specs details let’s start with the all new OnePlus 9RT the follow up to 9R.
OnePlus 9RT
The new OnePlus 9RT comes with a slightly updated design, having a new camera module similar to OnePlus 9, minimal bezels on all sides, and a larger vapor chamber (19067.44 mm²). This 197g device has a IP68 dust and water resistance rating.
The 9RT features a 6.62-inch FHD+ 120Hz Samsung E4 AMOLED display with a left-aligned hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera, 1300nits peak brightness, HDR10+, and an impressive 600Hz touch sampling rate for the first time in any OnePlus device.
Under the hood, OnePlus 9RT is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 888 chip (with Adreno 660 GPU) coupled with 8GB to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM (up to 7GB virtual extended RAM) and 128GB to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Talking about the optics, the device has a triple array camera system with a primary camera of 50MP Sony IMX 766 sensor (1-micron pixel sensor, OIS), 16MP 123-degree ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, it features an 16MP selfie camera in a punch-hole cutout in the left-hand corner of the display.
Addtionally, OnePlus 9RT has a 4,500mAh AI-powered battery with 65W fast charging support (wrap charge 65T), a USB Type-C port, an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and an iconic alert slider. For wireless connectivity, it offers 5G support, LTE, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.1.
On the software end, the device runs on ColorOS 12 based on Android 12 out of the box (will launch with OxygenOS 12 in international markets).
Pricing & Availability
The OnePlus 9RT, available in two colors — silver and black, will go on sale in China from October 19 with a price tag of 3,299 yuan (~$512) for the 8GB/128GB model, 3,499 yuan (~$543) for the 8GB/256GB variant, and 3,799 yuan (~$590) for 12GB/256GB model (the company is offering a first sale discount of 100 yuan). However, there’s no official word on the pricing and availability details for international markets.
OnePlus Buds Z2
Having some noteworthy improvements the latest OnePlus Buds Z2 TWS earbuds feature larger 11mm dynamic drivers, active noise cancellation (ANC) support, and better battery life. One desing front Buds Z2 have long-stalked, silicone-tipped design and new smooth edges on the body with new Obsidian Black and last years Pearl White color.
The OnePlus Buds Z2 have an IP55 rating for water resistance and features a Bluetooth 5.2 support, a triple AI-powered microphone array with 40dB active noise reduction smarts, and 100ms latency. The earbuds also offers a 5 hours of playback with ANC turned on and up to 7 hours with ANC off.
With the charging case, the earbuds lasts up to 27 hours on a single charge with ANC on and up to 35 hours with ANC off. Buds Z2 also have fast charging support, a quick 10-minute charge can add 5 hours of combined playback time claims OnePlus.
Pricing & Availability
The OnePlus Buds Z, available in two colorways — Obsidian Black and Pearl White, will go on sale in Chia on October 19 (pre-sale now live) with a price tag of 499 yuan (~$77) (the company is offering a first sale discount of 100 yuan. Similar to OnePlus 9R, there’s no official word on the pricing and availability details of these buds for international markets.
