Rather than ordering TSMC to made chips for Snapdragon 895, Qualcomm is again ordering Samsung to made their chips of 4nm according to leaker Mauri QHD. Even Samsung is going to make their own Exynos 2200 chips by 4nm process. And this will result in Samsung bagging large orders from Qualcomm against TSMC.

Yesterday Mauri QHD a leaker tweeted about Samsung is going to make the next Snapdragons generation chips which will be including the successor of Snapdragon 888 – Snapdragon 895, and their own Exynos 2200. These chips will be made through a 4nm process rather than a 5nm process, which matches with the details provided by Evan Blass about the Snapdragon 888 successor earlier this week.

Samsung Foundry makes the next Snapdragon AP (Waipio, maybe 895) and Exynos 2200.
Both are 4nm, not 5nm.
Samsung renamed their 5LPA (3rd Gen 5nm) -> 4LPE (1st Gen 4nm).
Because there is no performance difference between 5LPA and 4LPE.

Earlier also Qualcomm ordered Samsung to produce Snapdragon 888 and Snapdragon X65 5G Modem using 4nm technology. So, there is the possibility that Qualcomm would order Samsung for their Snapdragon 888 successor. There is a report that Qualcomm paid $850 million to Samsung to produce Snapdragon 888 chips, so there might be some agreement between them for future productions too.

Qualcomm opted for Samsung to produce their chips is because TSMC is not cost-effective rather their manufacturing quality is better than Samsung, TSMC is booked to produce 4nm chips by Apple as they ordered for the upcoming chip and for the 3nm process too. So, it might be the reason Qualcomm choosing Samsung to produce their chips.

For clarity, we have to wait from where Snapdragon 888 successor – Snapdragon 895 will manufacture Samsung or TSMC. There is no doubt that Exynos 2200 will be going to manufacture by Samsung only with 4nm technology.
