In the Razer Seiren Mini, Razer has released its most portable streaming game microphone. This piece of equipment has a similar look to what they have released in the past in gaming microphones, but it’s smaller. Despite its small physical stature, this microphone works with a 14 mm condenser capsule and a Supercardioid pickup pattern to make what Razer defines as “pro-grade sound”.
The Razer Seiren Mini has built suit the room left in the online game stream universe by much larger and more extravagant pieces of equipment. This microphone is tiny enough to comfortably sit on your desk but high enough to create professional sound with very little effort.
They tried to answer the needs of the aspiring streamer. Since “not everybody has the expertise, space or money to afford high-quality equipment,” and “these hardware demands call for professional quality, ease of use, and affordability.”
Razer also noted that “these demands also extend to home office users searching for a good call microphone.” Since the beginning of the current global pandemic, the likes of people like these have multiplied several times.
The Razer Seiren Mini from Razer and Razer’s various 3rd-party distribution partners will cost around $50 USD. With a release date of October 10, 2020, you can find this microphone available in black, white and pink. It will be available from selected distributors in the USA, CA, EU, CN, and AP by the end of 2020.
If this little baby is like its eldest ancestor, the Razer Seiren Pro, it’s going to be a force to count on. The Razer Seiren Mini looks like a miniature, essential-only version of that, one of the best microphones we’ve ever tested for at-home gaming.
