The OnePlus Nord series has already gotten a sequel in the form of the Nord N200, but now the original device is getting a follow-up. The design of the OnePlus Nord 2 has been shown in new renders this week, and it looks a lot like the OnePlus 9 series.
CAD-based renders of the OnePlus Nord 2 were revealed this week by @OnLeaks and 91Mobiles, giving us our first truly good look at the design of the upcoming release. The bezels are a little thicker than the company’s flagship, and there’s a hole-punch camera on the left side, just like the original edition. Presumably, there’s also a fingerprint sensor hidden beneath the display.
The rear design, which contains a brand-new configuration for the camera sensor, is what we learn the most from here. Unlike the Nord CE, which had a refined version of the original Nord’s camera module, its legitimate sequel has a design that is extremely similar to the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro. However, the fact that Nord N200 is in the same boat doesn’t come as a major surprise.
The OnePlus Nord 2 is still a secret, but these renders confirm triple cameras, no headphone jack, a USB-C charging port, and measurements of 160 x 73.8 x 8.1mm. The display appears to be 6.43 inches in length.
According to previous reports, the OnePlus Nord 2 would be the company’s first smartphone to include a MediaTek processor. It’s expected to use the Dimensity 1200 chip in particular. The exact date of release is still unknown.
