Samsung – Sin of Century
Imagine joining a google class with a false name that you have hidden for years but got exposed in seconds (hypothetical), sounds scary. But this is just a small case as what you are going to read is something interesting as Samsung committed a mistake they would like to forget. On Wednesday, Samsung Wednesday posted a promotional tweet “from an iPhone” asking people for engagements.
So, Samsung thought of bringing limelight to its Unpacked hardware event by posting a teaser through their Twitter account managed by Samsung Mobile’s US division.
So, the Tweet was as under:
What was so interesting?
So, there was nothing wrong with the tweet, but it was the tweet’s mode of delivery that resulted in a voice erupting online. As whom so ever responsible for posting the tweet from Samsung’s account had an iPhone and an unforgivable mistake in the eyes of diehard fans was committed.
It is not the first time happening that a promotional stunt has taken place and people were using services or products from iPhone as most of the brand ambassadors tend to do so. For an instance, back in 2013- David Ferrer used the iPhone to promote Galaxy S4.
And company take these things seriously as Ksenia Sobchak was sued because she was caught using iPhone X in public as she was paid to endorse an iPhone X in public.
Samsung Galaxy S21
And speaking about the event, new Galaxy S21 models will be released today as per rumors. These models are supposed to include 6.7- inch and 6.8-inch OLED displays, S-Pen support with either Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC or Samsung’s Exynos 2100 SoCs to compete with iPhone products.
