As per a new leak from MLID (Moore’s Law Is Dead), Sony is already working on PlayStation 5 Pro variant with a brand-new AMD APU processor utilizing FidelityFX Super Resolution, even allowing it to render full 8K graphics (possibly to compete with Microsoft’s Xbox Series X|S refresh) and is likely to launch it in late 2023-2024.
The leak also revealed some titles that may be announced at Sony’s Playstation showcase event (today), including
- God of War – Game teaser/Trailer.
- Gran Turismo – Gameplay Trailer.
- Stray – Game Trailer.
- Call of Duty: Vanguard – New Gameplay.
- TLOU: Factions – Rumor.
The main thing is that the PlayStation 5 Pro will not be a part of the event this time as it is expected to launch in 2023-2024. Specifications are not known this time but it definitely will offer great performance considering the upgrade of PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 4 Pro.
MLID also revealed that PS5 Pro’s price will lie between $600-$700 which is almost 75% higher than the vanilla one.
As reported by Wccftech (through which this news came to our notice), the upcoming Sony PlayStation 5 Pro is expected to feature a brand new 5nm RDNA and Zen-based architecture chip, AMD APU featuring new CPU/ GPU IPs, TDP (Thermal Design Power) of 300W (which makes it more expensive) and AMD’s FSR (FiedelityFX Super Resolution) for better gaming performance.
