While Rockstar hasn’t yet officially announced GTA 6, but that hasn’t stopped numerous leaks from emerging on the vast sea of the Internet. An insider who has previously leaked loads of details about big blockbuster films has shared when Rockstar could finally be announcing GTA 6.
Numerous leaks have begun to reveal things such as the game’s plot, setting, time period, and location, consequently, it can be clearly seen how the crowd is wanting the game to come out soon. Fans have impatiently waited for Rockstar to officially announce Grand Theft Auto 6 for years and the obsession continues to grow with each day passed. While nothing has been made official yet, a new leak could be finally giving these supporters some sort of hope.
According to ViewerAnon (via Inverse), who is the same guy who has previously leaked details for huge films such as Star Wars in past, GTA 6 is scheduled to release in 2023, but Rockstar could be announcing it sooner than that.
While 2023 is still far from approach, ViewerAnon also revealed that Rockstar won’t be announcing anything about GTA 6 until GTA V’s next-gen upgrade is released.
Rockstar does have an expanded and enhanced version of GTA V currently scheduled to come out later in 2021, so it makes sense that the company would want the crowd’s attention at that.
However, the leaker also added that Red Dead Redemption 2 was announced one year earlier than its original release date, so he is expecting GTA 6 to be announced in a similar manner.
It should be taken into account that Rockstar is also currently hiring a lot of game testers at multiple studios, so many fans are expecting some major news anytime soon. As far as when exactly GTA 6 will be announced, for the time being, expecting December 2022 may be the best bet for everyone.
Moreover, the leaker also pointed out how he hadn’t heard anything about a next-gen upgrade for Red Dead Redemption 2.
He added that he suspects Rockstar’s in less of a hurry because Red Dead Online isn’t as profitable as GTA Online.
We can never be too sure about anything but for this matter’s sake, considering the leaker’s previous record, it’s more than possible everything he’s saying has some truth to it.
