GTA 6 Release Date May Be Farther Away, as Rockstar Games has announced that they are bringing an “enhanced and expanded” version of GTA 5 and GTA Online to Play Station5 and Xbox Series X in 2021.
In PS5 game reveal event on June 11, 2020, Rockstar Games has announced that they are bringing an “enhanced and expanded” version of Grand Theft Auto 5 and GTA Online to PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2021. Well it’s not very surprising to see the 2013 game now releasing on its third generation of PlayStation and Xbox consoles. However, it may be telling us about how far along the GTA 6 is.

In the past, rumors, reports and leaks have suggested GTA 6 could release in 2021 or 2022, but it clearly seems obvious that this isn’t going to happen. I mean you don’t want GTA 5’s enhanced edition release on next-gen consoles getting in the way of marketing for GTA 6. Based on this I don’t think we will hear about GTA 6 until 2022 at the earliest or even 2023, which means the earliest we are going get our hands on The Grand Theft Auto VI will be 2024.
However if we go for the best-case scenario, the GTA 5 enhanced edition expected to arrive in the second half of 2021 and it makes more sense that the GTA 6 will be announced to world after the Rockstar Games announce the “enhanced and expanded” version of GTA 5 for PS5 and Xbox Series. So there you have it, a trailer for GTA 6 can arrive this October or next October in 2021.
