Update: According to new leaks published by WinFuture and reported by The Verge, Sony’s highly anticipated WF-1000XM4 true wireless earbuds will have a new “Sony V1” processor, ANC (Active Noise-Cancellation), and will support LDAC codec, which will let you listen to high-quality audio over Bluetooth.

Additionally, WF-1000XM4 will offer up to eight hours of battery life in a single charge with ANC turned on, and up to 12 hours with ANC turned off. Which when paired with a charging case, which features Qi wireless charging, can range between 24 and 36 hours total. And unlike its previous model, these earbuds will have an IPX4 certification for water and sweat resistance. For the price, WinFuture says the 1000XM4s will go on sale in Europe soon for €279.

Original Article: In a series of official-looking renders from Evan Blass, Sony’s unannounced WF-1000XM4 true wireless earbuds have leaked once more, giving us our clearest look yet at the successors to 2019’s excellent WF-1000XM3 earbuds. We already have a good idea of what the earbuds would look like due to reports from February and earlier this month, but the appearance of yet another leak is more evidence that an official release isn’t far away.

According to the images, Sony is preparing a major redesign for its upcoming WF-1000XM4 true wireless earbuds. The XM3’s pill-shaped design has been replaced by a more streamlined spherical design, and the Sony branding has been shifted to the side of the earbuds, where it is less conspicuous. The earbuds are expected to come in Sony’s standard black and silver colour schemes.

There’s no news on whether the WF-1000XM4 wireless earbuds would be waterproof or just sweat-resistant, or whether they’ll embrace Sony’s higher-resolution LDAC codec, which Sony’s previous buds didn’t. However, a “Hi-Res Audio” logo was discovered on the earbuds’ packaging, which may indicate LDAC support. The WF-1000XM4 earbuds should have 6 hours of playback on a single charge, plus 18 hours from the case, according to the packaging, which is similar to what Sony claimed for the previous earbuds.
