Digimon franchise is here with a new anime series Digimon Ghost Game as the 20th-anniversary reboot series is coming to an end. “The first PV of the new TV animation “Digimon Ghost Game” has been unveiled,” says their official website as Digimon Adventure’s episode 65 broadcasted the promotional video. This new iteration of the Digimon franchise is a part of the Fall 2021 anime schedule and will debut on October 3rd, 2021 on Fuji TV.
The website again reads, “The video shows hologram ghost attacking humans, and it’s a PV that raises expectations.” Hitherto we know that the series will grow in a futuristic setting where the online community is hunted by the presence of strange occurrences commonly referred to as hologram ghosts. Hiro and Gammamon pair will attempt to look into the odd phenomena while gradually infiltrating Digimon’s business.
At the head of the series’ debut a month later they have announced the voice cast;
- Mutsumi Tamura (Miss Koboyashi’s Dragon Maid)as Hiro Amanokawa
- Miyuki Sawashiro (Bakemonogatari) as Gammamon
- Yu Kobayashi (Gintama) as Ruri Tsukiyono
- Kazuya Nakai (One Piece) as Angoramon
- Akira Ishida (Demon Slayer) as Kiyoshiro Higashimitarai
- Yu Shimamura (Gundam Reconquista in G movie 1) as Jellymon
Toei Animation (Dragon Ball Super: Broly, One Piece: The movie and many more) Studio is working with scriptwriter Masashi Sogo (Bleach: Memories of Nobody) to bring a new adventure on screen. Kimitoshi Chioka (Dragon Ball Super) and Masato Mitsuki (Sailor Moon) are helming the direction for the series.
As for character designing, Tenya Tabuno’s designs are on the business thanks to Mariko Ito. Cho Shinozuka is adapting the character designs from the original Digimon Adventure series by Kenji Watanabe.
