If you are expecting to see an OnePlus 8T Pro announced alongside the OnePlus 8T next month, then sorry to say no such thing is going to happen. As OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has confirmed the news via a post on Weibo, in which he said anyone looking for a Pro device can continue to buy the OnePlus 8 Pro released earlier this year. However, Lau added that the company still has some surprises to show during its One Plus 8T reveal on October 14th.
Rumored OnePlus Nord N10 5G could launch alongside OnePlus 8T
It looks like this year, rather than seeing a premium device announced alongside the OnePlus 8T, we can see a new midrange phone announcement. As the OnePlus Nord’s official Instagram account has just posted the hashtag #ComingSoon, which suggests we could soon see the announcement of the rumored $400 OnePlus Nord N10 5G, a follow-up to the original OnePlus Nord.
As we reported earlier this new Nord could have a Snapdragon 690 processor and 5G support along with 6 GB RAM. Also, this will reportedly be released in the US, unlike the original which only came to Europe and India.
Now as a reminder, the company has already confirmed the upcoming 8T will feature a 120Hz refresh rate display (same as the 8 Pro) and 65W fast charging. The new device will also have a quad-camera array featuring wide-angle, ultrawide, macro, and portrait sensors, according to the Android Central.
