Ever since June, the Indian government has been on an app prohibition spree. While the country has banned over 200 odd smartphone applications of different genres, PUBG and TikTok remain the subject of concern for most. And when we talk about the comebacks, TikTok, PUBG isn’t, might be a far-fetched notion.
We’re getting closer to the relaunch of PUBG in India with every passing day. After breaking off ties with Tencent, KRAFTON, the PUBG corporation’s parent company, has formed an Indian business agency and announced that all the accomplishments and IDs of the global edition will be maintained for gamers’ peace of mind.
Now a famous YouTuber has announced that the game is already available to a select few players in India as the business is gearing up for a re-launch. The now-deleted tweet read, “For the main PUBG version app, thanks to PUBG Mobile India.” Guys, first look at PUBG India on my channel soon, MySmartPrice reports. The server does not work with atm, an Indian variant.
His tweet suggests that with a few Indian mobile gamers, the company is testing the mobile app and the embargo limitations may allow them to post gaming videos on their social media handles.
It must be recalled that giving early access or delivering a pre-launch variant to influencers or reviewers for input before the broader release is a standard practice among businesses. This helps firms not only gauge investor sentiment but also hammer out challenges right before the sale if any.
With the official launch only a few days away, PUBG, which remains one of India’s most sought after smartphone games even after the ban, is expected to make a comeback with a bang. The first PUBG tournament could soon be held with a grand prize of Rs. 6 crores, according to a recent tweet by yet another esports player
