Asus has launched the ROG Strix LC Radeon RX 6900 XT Gaming, for consumers who don’t dig chunky Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics cards. Asus’ version, which has a 2.2-slot configuration and a length of 27.7 cm, will require spacing in your case for the 240 mm radiator.
A mix of liquid cooling and standard air cooling is the complex cooling solution of the ROG Strix LC Radeon RX 6900 XT. A cold plate transfers heat to the 240 mm radiator away from the Navi 21 die and the surrounding GDDR6 chips. Once the heat gets to the radiator, A pair of 120mm ARGB cooling fans make sure the heat is properly disposed of. In addition, to dissipate the heat from the power-delivery components, the graphics card also includes a heatsink with a blower-style cooler.
The RGB lighting of the graphics card functions as part of Asus’ Aura Sync ecosystem so you can synchronise it with other Asus hardware and peripherals. Two 4-pin fan headers are included in the ROG Strix LC Radeon RX 6900 XT, so you can mount your case fans to the graphics card to help with cooling.
For the ROG Strix LC Radeon RX 6900 XT, the clock speeds are currently undisclosed. If the three 8-pin PCIe power connectors are any indication, the graphics card could arrive with a nice factory overclock. In fact, Asus recommends a power supply of 850W to feed its Big Navi liquid-cooled.
On the other hand, the display output configuration adheres to AMD’s reference design. This means you have one HDMI 2.1 port, two DisplayPort 1.4 outputs and one USB Type-C port at your disposal. Up to four maximum displays will support the setup.
