Battlefield 2042 takes us on a different journey through the world of Battlefield and the events that lead up to the all-out war. And to give us a better look at it, Electronic Arts (EA) and DICE have announced a new “standalone” cinematic short film titled Exodus which will give us a storyline for Battlefield. Exodus will premiere across the social channels on August 12th at 8 am PT / 11 am ET, not so long to wait.
“Witness the events that will trigger an all-out war in this standalone short film set in the World of 2042,” reads the blurb accompanying a teaser trailer released on Monday (embed below).
The upcoming Battlefield is not going to feature the typical single-player campaign mode, instead, in the world of 2042 the narrative, the backstory, and lore will all be done in-game through item description, locations, and characters and also through marketing material.
“Note the happenings that will trigger an all-out war in this self-governing short movie: Exodus set in the world of the latest Battlefield”, DICE said in the description of what fans can expect from this short film.
As a whole, Battlefield 2042 is going to launch on October 22 coming on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC.
