A few days back VGC reported that according to GamesBeat journalist Jeff Grub the Star Wars Squadrons developer EA Motive is currently working on “the revival of an established”, fan-favorite IP that will make fans “very happy.” Leaving EA fans wondering what could be this “established IP” but look like Grub has himself dropped a huge hint as to what the game might be – “We’re going to see it… if we’re not dead first.”

Yeah, you read that right “if we’re not dead first,” a comment which hints that EA Motive’s mysterious “established IP” could be Dead Space – the all-time favorite title of many horror game fans. Well, there’s no confirmation about this but folks at Eurogamer have backed Grubb’s comment along with folks at Gematsu, who are claiming EA Motive’s project is a remake/reimaging of the original Dead Space, rather than a sequel which is most likely to be announced in EA Play July event.

EA Motive's "established IP revival" could be a Dead Space Remake

The first Dead Space was released back in 2008 and has got many awards and recognition. Next to this was Dead Space 2 with multiplayer mode, but Dead Space 3 was disappointing. Despite the success of the first two versions of Dead Space, the developer Visceral games were sadly closed down by Electronic Arts in back 2017 who are supposed to create the fourth entry in the franchise

A Dead Space return wouldn’t be that shocking at this point but nothing is written on the stone just yet so we can’t say anything more about this. EA Play Live 2021 is due to take place on Thursday, July 22.
