Warner Bros. Games Montreal unveiled its latest title set within Batman’s world, Gotham Knights at its scheduled segment during the DC FanDome event. The developer has confirmed that the game will release in 2021, and will be available to play on PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5, and Xbox Series X. Along with this, the studio has released the Gotham Knights’ trailer and eight minutes of gameplay for the fans on Youtube. The game is set in a world where Batman is dead.
Overview of Gotham Knights
This game is a brand-new open-world, 3rd-person action RPG video game from Warner Bros. Games Montréal. Which features the Batman Family as players step into the roles of Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin. The new guards of trained DC Super Heroes who must rise up as the protectors of Gotham City in the aftermath of Batman’s death. The gamers will be able to play as a single character or team up with another.
Well, Gotham Knights is a direct sequel to Rocksteady’s Arkham trilogy has yet to be determined, but the Gotham Knights’ trailer seems to reference the Knightfall protocol and subsequent explosion that occurred at the end of Arkham trilogy. Regardless of its relation, Bruce Wayne is dead and has left his final message to his family along with a base of operations. In the trailer, there is some glimpse of the villains of the game, The Court of Owls, along with their menacing enforcers, the Talon. While WB Games assured fans that there is more to this mystery beyond, so players will have to eagerly wait for more details on this matter.

About the Gameplay
In the Gotham Knights, players can explore the open-world of Gotham and patrol across the dark streets of the city’s five distinct boroughs using different types of traversal abilities and heroic combat moves. Along with the iconic Batcycle. As Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin progress, their typical gameplay skills will evolve, also with a growing arsenal of weapons and gear. As revealed in the Gameplay video, this game features many storylines for players to investigate, and which includes face-offs against some of the most infamous DC Super-Villains. Such as Mr. Freeze, who controls the weather, and is set to decrease the temperature of Gotham City and brings storms. And according to some teasers, Two-Face can also be one of the villains in the game.
The playable characters in Gotham Knights:
Batgirl, who is also known as Barbara Gordon, is a determined fighter and a skilled hacker. As the daughter of deceased Gotham commissioner, she previously helped Batman as Oracle. Now after years of recovery and preparation, she is ready for her new role.
Nightwing, the Dick Grayson, who was the first Robin, and Batman’s protege before becoming a hero in his own right. Grayson is a natural leader, the eldest and wisest member of the Batman Family.
Red Hood, formerly known as Jason Todd, is an intense and volatile anti-hero, which stems from his death and forced resurrection by one of Batman’s most dangerous foes. Red Hood faces some trouble keeping his temper in check but will not hesitate to step into the line of fire when a friend is threatened.
Robin, Tim Drake, the young prodigy and genius of the team, who is a master of deductive reasoning. A true believer in Batman’s mission, Robin is motivated by the conviction that Gotham City really needs protecting and hopes to be the type of hero Batman was. Robin possesses a background in the combined psychological warfare and behavioral sciences.
