League of Legends: Wild Rift, a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) mobile game and a modified version of the popular PC game ‘League of Legends’, is finally heading to North America on March 29th, for its first open beta, developer Riot has announced today. The beta, which is available in other territories since 2020, will be available for United States players for the first time on mobile devices on iOS and Android.
First announced in 2019 by Riot, Wild Rift isn’t a direct port of PC version to mobile version. Instead it is a “built from scratch” version which has everything changed from its items to maps and even some champions, in order to make the game play better on mobile devices. Open beta players can access all of Wild Rift’s features fully.
Riot has also published a separate blog post for players who were using a European account to get their hands on the beta early and now are thinking about moving their account to the correct region.
Wild Rift’s open beta is also expected to launch on consoles soem tiem in near future, which is currently available for mobile players only. Closing date for beta has not yet announced by Riot, nor a full release date for the final game.
