Mojang shutting down launcher dedicated to “Minecraft Dungeons” on PC in favor of a new “Unified Launcher” which will let you launch Dungeons and Minecraft: Java Edition from the same place.
Minecraft Dungeons had its own launcher, until this change, and can also be purchased from the Microsoft Store. But as of January 18th, the non-Microsoft Store version of Minecraft Dungeons on PC can now only be launched from the new Unified Launcher – which is going to be an update for the Java launcher.
Mojang says these changes will not affect the saved files, but you still have to purchase both games separately and you can log in to the new “Unified Launcher” either by a Microsoft account (which is soon required to play the game on PC) or a Mojang account.
And with this new change, it will be a little more convenient, for any person who enjoys playing both Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft: Java Edition. Check out Mojang’s Minecraft Help Center if you want to know more about the new change and how to download the new “Unified Launcher”.
