After racking billion of dollars since 2007 and seeing some rocky releases, the Transformers film franchise has now unveiled the official title for its seventh film and the timeline in which it’s going to take place. Titled Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, currently set for a June 24, 2022 release, will take place in 1994 New York City – after Bumblebee but before the Michael Bay films. This movie will be based on the Beast Wars mythology bringing in the Predacons, Maximals, and Terrorcons to the big screen.

Movie Announcement
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, the title was announced at a Transformers virtual event conducted in presence of director Steven cable Jr., producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura along with movie stars Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback. During which they also announced that the movie will be releasing in theaters on June 24, 2022.
Does the Rise of the Beasts will bring something new?
As the title suggests, the plot of the movie will revolve around the Beast Wars mythology in which characters like Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons, which are reptilian in nature and are descendants of Autobots and Decepticons, will make their debut on the big screen, with Scourge serving as the lead villain. As you might have guessed this time the usual war between Autobots and Decepticon War is avoided and a new faction is introduced. To which Lorenzo di Bonaventura stated that,
“It felt like the prior movies had exhausted the Autobot vs. Decepticons conflict, and he and the other creative minds wanted to show different “tribes” of Transformers.”
Although the Autobots and Decepticons are not ignored completely. Both Optimus Prime and Bumblebee will appear in the upcoming movie with Peter Cullen set to reprise his role to voice Optimus Prime, who will be rolling in his new Gen 1 look with Bumblebee in his Camaro form. Rise of the Beasts will take place in 1994 (specifically Brooklyn, New York), and will reveal why the Cybertronian has a connection to Earth and humanity.

- Mirage, as a blue/silver Porsche 911 Turbo (Autobot)
- Nightbird, as a Nissan Skyline GT-R (Autobot)
- Air-razor, who can take the form of a bird (Maximal)
- Rhinox, a rhinoceros (Maximal)
- And Optimus Primal, the leader of the Maximals (a gorilla) and will have deep conversations with Optimus Prime

Well, readers, no official trailer or teasers are released for the upcoming movie but yes the filmmakers revealed a logo of the film.
Will there be some Human involvement in the movie?
Talking about the human stars the Rise of the Beasts will feature Anthony Ramos (In the Heights) and Dominique Fishback (Judas and the Black Messiah). Where, Ramos will play Noah, a military veteran who lives with his family in Brooklyn, Fishback will play a museum worker and artifact researcher Elena.
