Update: The hololiveERROR horror project has launched its first video in the series on Sunday, featuring 3D models of its Virtual YouTubers Natsuiro Matsuri and Shirakami Fubuki.
Original Article: Universal Virtual YouTuber sensation Hololive has launched its official website as well as a teaser video for its upcoming Horror Project “hololiveERROR”, which will release sometime in August 2021 or in the coming weeks.
The live-action teaser of 3 minutes for “hololiveERROR” dropped by the cover corporation is evoking the old Japanese horror cliche, with a dark, empty, ominous school in the footage, where a person is walking through hallways. Mysteriously, Tokino Sora, Hololive’s first VTuber appeared and followed them around asking them “will you forever be my friend?”
Hololive had already taken over the live streaming and musical sphere and it is speculated that this Horror Project is its first VR psychological horror game. The talents here perform via raveled avatars which are provided to them by the company.
The first-gen of Hololive debuted in 2018. As of now, Hololive has 4 million subscribers on Youtube and more than 4.4 million fans on bilibili.
