Just two weeks have been passed since the announcement that Call of Duty: Warzone had passed 100 million players, yet Activision has made a similar announcement for Call of Duty: Mobile as well. Though it may not capture all of the headlines that the Call of Duty full releases gets, even then it has gained a huge audience, nonetheless, the game has passed 500 million downloads, i.e. 5 times more than Call of Duty: Warzone across mobile platforms including both IOS and Android since its launch in October 2019.
Call of Duty: Mobile is a free-to-play online shooting game developed by TiMi Studios and has been published by Activision for Android and iOS. The game has become one of the largest mobile game launches in history, as it has generated over US$480 million with 270 million downloads within a year.
There is an enormous number of players in comparison with the console series, which is generally around 30 million in sales. Many more players are likely the reason why Activision went for a mobile version of the game, as it has surely brought in millions of new people to the series. The combination of being free-to-play and on mobile devices is most likely the reason for it to be this successful.
In order to celebrate this huge milestone, Activision is offering all the players a free bonus. In order to receive this bonus, players will need to login into their Call of Duty: Mobile accounts, visit their mailboxes and claim them through a message from the game’s developers.
