The new leak shows that fans of AMD graphics cards will soon have some new options. Gigabyte’s versions of AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT GPUs have been listed over at the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), which means that several custom models of the Radeon RX 6600 XT GPUs are ready to hit the market soon.
As reported by Wccftech, it appears that Gigabyte is preparing to release six new graphics cards and all of the GPUs feature its custom design and are categorized as either Gaming, OC, and Eagle. The model names of these six custom RX 6600 XT GPUs have already been revealed and are listed below:
- Gigabyte RX 6600 XT Eagle
- Gigabyte RX 6600 XT Eagle OC
- Gigabyte RX 6600 XT Gaming
- Gigabyte RX 6600 XT Gaming OC
- Gigabyte RX 6600 XT Gaming PRO
- Gigabyte RX 6600 XT Gaming OC PRO
These cards are based on AMD’s signature RDNA2 architecture. RDNA 2 has been present in all of the RX 6000-series cards which were launched in November 2020. This architecture has allowed AMD to offer fully hardware-accelerated ray tracing.
Specifications of AMD’s Radeon RX 6600 XT
The Radeon RX 6600 XT graphics card will be powered by the Navi 23 XT GPU, which will feature 32 Compute Units or 2048 stream processors. The card will also rock 32 MB Infinity Cache & will feature an 8 GB GDDR6 memory capacity running across a 128-bit wide bus interface. Regarding the Navi 23 GPU, it measures 237mm2 and consists of 11.06 Billion transistors. However, the GPU is not the smallest chip in the RDNA 2 family as that title should belong to Navi 24.
The specs and the benchmark both show that the RX 6600 XT will be an affordable solution for 1080p gaming. Likely, this card will not look to outperform the best graphic cards from the high-end segment. Although, it will outperform Nvidia’s RTX 3020, and thus will present a viable solution for many gamers.
While the price of these new cards is not known, the MSRP will likely be around $300 if AMD wants to compete with Nvidia’s RTX 3060. Till now, no release date has been announced but an official announcement will be made very soon.
So, this is all about it. If you have any query related to this then do write in the comment section. Until then stay tuned for further updates.
