Mario again makes a world record. And this time it is for the highest price ever paid for a single game.
On NES, a sealed copy was sold for $114,000 (approx. Rs. 85,72,771).
The game was auctioned by Heritage auctions. Kotaku’s Chris Kohler tweeted the news about it.
PREVIOUS RECORDS
Mario bros had already kept the record with themselves before.
The previous record was also with a single copy of mario which was sold for $100,150 (approx. Rs. 75,53,813).
FIRST TIME?
It is not the first time a game has gone for this much price.
The Nintendo playstation was also auctioned for a higher price and that was a humongous $360,000.
Sometimes in game skins and characters can be expensive too. Games like Dota 2, CSGO, Fortnite and League of legends have some limited skins that are sold for hundreds of dollars .
