Founder of Amazon and Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos is heading to space on his New Shepard rocket next month accompanied by his brother Mark Bezos and a mysterious auction winner (who paid $28 million for this privilege). But it looks like some people don’t want Jeff Bezos to re-enter the earth and has launched a “Petition To Not Allow Jeff Bezos Re-Entry To Earth” on Change.org which is on its way to passing 25,000 signatures.
José Ortiz – the organizer of “Petition To Not Allow Jeff Bezos Re-Entry To Earth” on Change.org – did not specify the actual reason for why Jeff Bezos shouldn’t be allowed to return to his home planet, but insists that Jeff Bezos, who is all set to head to space from Texas on July 20, is Lex Luthor – a famous villain from Superman comics (I mean yeah if you talk about physical appearance then he is).
Here’s what petition “Petition To Not Allow Jeff Bezos Re-Entry To Earth” says (language is far from serious):
“Jeff Bezos is actually Lex Luthor, disguised as the supposed owner of a super successful online retail store. However, he’s actually an evil overlord hellbent on global domination… Jeff has worked with the Epsteins and the Knights Templar, as well as the Free Masons to gain control over the whole world.”
“He’s also in bed with the flat earth deniers; it’s the only way they’ll allow him to leave the atmosphere. Meanwhile our government stands by and lets it happen. This may be our last chance before they enable the 5G microchips and perform a mass takeover.”
In the end, the petition urges people to sign it to keep him out in the space, and saying “The fate of humanity is in your hands”. As of writing more than 15,000 people have signed the petition.
Well to make this happen is kind of Mission Impossible as the Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket is completely controlled by the onboard computer and has no information from the ground station or its crew, which makes it almost impossible to change the mission profile and dock with the rescue vehicle to extract Bezos during flight.
“Petition To Not Allow Jeff Bezos Re-Entry To Earth” is not the only unusual petition involving Bezos we have seen today. As reported by CNet, another petition urging Bezos to “buy and eat the Mona Lisa” has surfaced online and has more than 9,000 signatures as of writing.
