The game is a fresh spin of its consistently popular first-person shooter and was previously named Rainbow Six Quarantine but was afterward changed to Rainbow Six Extraction. Rainbow Six Extraction is set in four regions across the US, containment zones are dominated by the parasite which creates an unstable ecosystem within their walls. Raid on these hot zones will challenge the teams every time. All the 12 maps in Rainbow Six Extraction are uniquely designed and feature procedurally generated challenges, enemies, infestation, and increasing difficulty simultaneously. The dangers would be unpredictable, but the rewards are richer the deeper player goes.
If an Operator fails to get to an extraction point, the team players will get a choice to leave the Operator behind to push on for bigger rewards or head back to mount a daring rescue. Those who couldn’t do it will find their operator MIA, which would make them temporarily unavailable for future missions. The MIA Operator can only be recovered by extracting them before the parasite takes them over completely.

The Chimera parasite and its evolving Archaens are highly deadly organisms that are consuming and reshaping the landscape. And one has to count on its teammates and instincts to face 10 parasitic archetypes, including the vicious Spiker, the elusive Tormentor, and the summoning Apex.
Survive the Sprawl, a type of parasitic tissue that spreads over and alters the ecosystem. Areas which were previously infested could be clear, while previously safe zones could be ravaged by the Sprawl and other deadly enemies.
