Levi Ackerman as a character commands an undaunted presence whenever he is on the manga panel or on the screen. Although he is not the main protagonist of the Attack on Titan series, there is a malevolent aura to everything that’s going around him.
He’s praised and built up as humanity’s strongest soldier who stands above the rest like Roronoa Zoro from One Piece, Kakashi Hatake from Naruto, Near from Death Note, and Shinomori Aoshi from Rurouni Kenshin. They all are the most potent forces of power in their respective series and live up to our expectations every single time.
Captain Levi Ackerman smashes new records every now and then with his savage and computed combat skills coupled with a solemn attitude. What truly adds to the intrigue of this character is the mystery aspect associated with him early on in the story. You might want to ask yourself, “What did this person go through to end up like that?” Ackerman clan always felt special.
Apparently, fans started to theorize about his past and claimed him to be a titan shifter. Not to anyone’s surprise, The Ackerman clan in one way or another did possess the power of titans. Zeke explained that the Ackerman clan was actually byproducts of titan science and they were bred to protect the Eldian King.
Then Eren explained that the Ackerman clan can sustain a human form but deep down the power of the titans runs throughout their bloodline. Since they were initially created to guard some royalty, their Ackerman blood instinct activates once they recognize someone as their host, this is called their awakening.
This will activate the warrior instincts in their blood and heighten Levi’s physical ability to an extreme. When an Ackerman awakens they gain a better experience in battle accumulated by every past Ackerman by way of a pack very similar to how titan users can remember the memories of previous titan users. As if this was the matrix, Levi has had a century’s worth of experience uploaded to him.
In addition to the bloodline gift, Levi’s analytical skills and intelligence cultivated all these years helped him win every battle and made him the most overpowered character in Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan world. Though he was injured in the most recent season, there is no doubt that he will be any less ruthless.
We’ve seen this righteous fellow calm and collected most of the time except for the times when he attains his “God-like form”. It doesn’t seem like he would ever use his awakened power for a bad purpose. Although, Levi Ackerman as an antagonist would be a great sight to behold. He would be as aggressive as Majin Buu, cold-hearted as Johan Liebert, analytical as Lelouch, and a great fighter like Griffith.
