WhatsApp has rolled out a new update on its iOS beta app for iPhone users. The latest update brings those features on which WhatsApp has been working for some time. It also includes bug fixes and updates, which will soon be available for iPhone users in WhatsApp’s public version.
New WhatsApp beta update
The new WhatsApp beta 2.20.100 update was posted on the app’s TestFlight page. As noted by WABetaInfo, no public beta users will access the new features that are available on this update. These features are still under development and there’s no word on when WhatsApp plans to release them, There are quite a few developments on WhatsApp in this update.
WhatsApp aims to improve its payment service for specific countries, such as Spain. This is interesting because WhatsApp has not yet launched payments in this country. But the company has echoed its interest in expanding payments to more countries in the near future. WhatsApp also rewrote the section that allows you to see the media shared with a contact. This is to improve the speed of loading for images, videos and GIFs.
Features added in new beta update
The expiring function of WhatsApp messages also appeared in this update. WABetaInfo said this feature is still being worked on but no release date has been set. WhatsApp has also added a new tone when you end a call and a new ringtone for group calls. WhatsApp will soon allow users to access missed group calls if they are still on.
Other features in this update include a new security notice to log in when a new user uses a mobile computer. It also enhances the ability to launch WhatsApp when there is low storage on the device.
