Samuel L. Jackson is reportedly returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). But this time, we’ll see him in a starring role in a Marvel’s new Nick Fury TV series for Disney Plus. And it would be Jackson’s first series regular television role.
We still don’t know whether the series will be exclusively about Jackson’s character i.e. Nick Fury or he will be in a supporting role like he has been so far. As reported by Deadline, the details about the project are still under the wraps. However, Kyle Bradstreet, best known for his work as a writer for Emmy-winning USA Network series Mr. Robot, is said to be the project’s writer and executive producer.
Samuel L. Jackson aka Nick Fury – The One-eyed architect of The Avengers
Samuel L. Jackson who has played the role of leader of the super-spy agency SHIELD aka Nick Fury in the MCU films is the gruff, one-eyed architect of the Avengers, the one who brought the superheroes together. We all first saw him in MCU in the post-credit scene of the film Iron Man which was released in 2008. Since then, appearances by Jackson as Fury have been a key part of the various films in the MCU franchise. He was last seen in Spider-Man: Far From Home, in which we saw him upon a Skrull spaceship. He too recurred as the character in ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Well with, the new Disney Plus series we will Jackson in the lead role for a Marvel series for the first time and there’s a possibility that we would see the actor playing a similar role as of the films which is tying together the various TV series planned for the Disney Plus.
